Correct, this mapping already exists and is one of the reasons I bought the Nu-Rex device. At this point I don't have a reason to think it's not working as designed. If I start to get timing issues then I'll look into mapping my unit.

Update: The Model B connectors are also not quite long enough. But there's enough length that I can cut them asymmetrically and have a friend help me solder them together to make two long and two short connectors.

when the late Roger Kauffman was driving from OH to CA in the 1990s he lost a plug connecter somewhere out in the boonies.
He cut a length of barbed wire from a derilect fence row and fabricated a connector out of it.
Worked fine and looked so cool he left it in place after returning home......

Well, this sort of worked. 3 out of 4 of the soldered connectors are holding so far. One snapped and was too damaged to be put back together at the required length, so I made a wire.

I dunno, these don't look as good as I'd hoped. I think I'll make some wires instead. Maybe I can use the red-on-black Model T spark plug wire and terminals.

Your plug connectors should not be touching the distributor body anyway. Any moisture or carbon tracking would cause a misfire. #2 & #3 should be longer.

Yeah, it was worth a try but this is not a solution. I've ordered some 8mm Model T wire and the brass Model T terminals from Snyder's. I think I can make some connectors that resemble their '26-'27 plug wire kit. Plus this will give me a chance to practice soldering on something that's not a radiator.

Restoration Supply Company has a whole page of Vintage Spark Plug Terminals, if interested. Page 3 of their catalog. https://restorationstuff.com/shop/#fb0=5

RSC is too pricey, the brass terminals should work just fine.

The main problem I have to solve is that the spade terminal on the stock plug connector relies on spring action to work – the connector pushes the terminal against the distributor insert, which holds it in place. A wire won't push, it just hangs. So I need to take those ring terminals and form a slot in them like a keyhole, so they'll go over the insert and then lock into place.

I think you may see an end that clips on in the RSC catalog, pricey or not.

I saw that one, but it makes me nervous. I want something with a closed end.

Edit: Posted my solution to this problem in another thread
