I'm in the process of dealing with a guy who might well be a scammer. I am proceeding with due diligence and caution. Waiting on USPS money order. Someone pulled that on me before and the money order was a fake. Fortunately, I found out before shipping the item. Only time will tell. He is being "too nice". That's what is worrying me in this day and age. Caveat Emptor is my motto.

If a new member answers my wanted ad and it looks to good I just send them a and report them and they disappear.

I have noticed that most scammers have gmail.com addresses.

This has been brought up before. It's only because "gmail" is probably the best and easiest to use email out there (plus, it's easy to spell). I use "gmail" as do many others here. Do not be so quick to paint all of us with the same broad brush.

Check the number of posts. Someone with over 1000 posts and a "gmail" address is most likely OK.

You can tell a scam most of the time newbe most of them just join that day or so and no post at all

I thought Ryan took care of that you have to be on here for awhile or so many post before you could send pm on want adds or for sale adds

I get a similar message every time I place a wanted ad. I just report it and move on.
