Default Hand Throttle

I need to remove the hand throttle "Bell Crank" (see picture) because the tip in broken off. Does the pivot pin press into the bracket or is it pinned. Thanks

Not sure but you could build up weld, weld a small extension on it, or spend $10 or less at a swap meet for a good bracket.

I would think it's pressed, what does the other end look like?

I've had mine off but never looked that item over in real detail.

+1

Weld it up. If you don't have anything to weld with, ... most people know someone who does. Ask your friends.

Bill

Yes it has a hole on the other side.

Another shot of broken part. I have another throttle brake that I can rob the part off of. Just need to know if it is pressed in or is there a pin that I don't see. I tried tapping it out but see no movement. Or a may just weld it...

IMO easier to get another one. Try Bert's.

Haha, easier I agree. But I like to try to save otherwise usable old parts.

A small bit of weld and a grinder and it is done!

You should be able to tap the pin up and out, but I'd leave it in place and weld up what's missing.
If you have the good spare part, then tap it out.

A small gear puller may work to push that pin out. Don't forget the penetrating oil.

It is pressed in.
I pressed mine out to repair that assembly to eliminate wear between the pin and arm. Shouldn't be any "wobble".
I have a Dake Arbor Press and it pressed right out.

Awesome, that is exactly what I needed to know. I have a press but I didn't want to start pushing' until I knew for sure.
