Default Valve guide seals

Bough seals and guides from speedway for a 52rebuild, the seals are the same o.d as guides when I place them in the lifter bore the fall right through, should there be a slight drag so a seal is made. Using them on intake only. Is there a over counter part that would work. Would like to do it right the first time

Possibly you'll find that fitting them to the guide[s] will expand the outside diameter enough that you'll actually have trouble fitting them into the bores?

Couple little tricks on seals. I use the round ones made buy BEST there easier to install that the square ones. Take the guide and grind a chafer on the top sharp ridge with your bench grinder, smear some slim, lube around the top of the guide and roll the seal into the groove on the guide. Slim the guide hole in the block. Little tricks makes it easier the pull the guide down the hole with your pickle fork. Walt

Never use them, put a small amt of RTV on the bottom pert of the guide and slide them in. I also put a small amt of Never seize on the exhaust, just in case I have to remove them.Just remember, Ford didn't use seals on the guide untill the 8BA. As for the guides, You might want to check the fit in the block as well as the stem to guide clearance. The guide should fit snug in the block.

The vac for what?? If it;s for the ignition I always use the intake manifold. But the distributor must be set up for that. The carb takes care of it's self.
