Re: Radial Tires
To answer your specific question on the 600-16 to radial conversion...the closest you will get is with a 195/80R16 tire. Bridgestone makes these - Diamondback has these in wide whites too.
Terrible news about the Auburn tires! I need the 7.5x16 and 5.2x16....so it looks like I will have to find another tire option. Most likely blackwalls until the Auburns come out. |

Re: Radial Tires
Old thread I know but does anyone know if there are radials or bias lookalikes for 18in 32 V8 rims?

Re: Radial Tires
Just to experience the ride in my '40 driver by mounting radials, isn't there a size at the local tire store that I could run on these 16 inch rims?

Re: Radial Tires
215 85 r 16. They are the tallest, skinniest commonly available radials for a 16" rim. I just bought a pair for 100 bucks on CL with excellent tread. I looked them up and they list for 278.00 apeice. They are factory issue on many dually pickups. The ones I just bought are 8 ply traction, toyo M55s. Unlike most, I like tracrion on the rear of my trucks because of my long and rutted gravel road.

Re: Radial Tires
"Ol" Ron, your making me smile with the rail comments. I am reading a lot of books about early logging up north using railroads. Wonder what kind of car you could run on the narrow gauge 2 footer tracks ? Crosley maybe ?
