Re: John Cruzin 40
Read through this thread. It tells how to adjust the brakes. Do that first. Do Not Let
the Master Cylinder run dry when you are bleeding. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...leed+40+brakes Also, buy Speed Bleeders so that you can make it a one man job when you bleed them. They work great. This thread tells you all about them. Buy the long ones mentioned in the thread. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...speed+bleeders Here's the correct sequence for brake bleeding. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...heel+cylinders Also, some wheel cylinders made off shore are incorrectly made. Read about it here, then check yours out. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...heel+cylinders Make sure you have no leaks in the brake lines. Last, but not least. The SEARCH function is your friend. Last edited by 19Fordy; 06-14-2017 at 10:08 PM. |

Re: John Cruzin 40
Did you have the shoes arced to the drums? If not, you may have a very small contact area and thus very poor pedal and stopping efficiency.
