What is this carburetor car from?

I have this carburetor installed in a Ford V8 350, but someone told me that this is not the original one.

Can you help to identify this carburetor?

"Tea Pot" Holley 885. Trucks have the manual choke set up but a lot of them have governors. Early 1949 Mercs & Lincolns and a lot of trucks used a ball tip on the throttle arm and the later ones had the drilled hole for use of the clip retained type throttle rod. On the top of the accelerator pump relief, (the part that is the highest point on the top of the shroud) there should be the little numbers that are the date code for the carb. It will have the number of the month stamped next to a smaller raised cast in number that represents the last two digits of the year of manufacture.

Put a pic of the engine on here, Ford 350 phase 2 means nothing to me. Ford 351, yes.

If you mean the arm at far bottom right, I think that is a truck-style manual throttle arm.

Just had another look, think your right, does look like a hand throttle type of thing.

I think the Argentinian fase 2 (phase 2) engines were a development based on the Y-Block. Not heard of a 350 though.

I think the Ford 350 is like an F350 1-ton truck. The fase II heads have a more conventional split for the intake manifold and the exhaust was also improved but I believe it is still a 292 cubic inch motor.

Ford of Argentina used this motor for a lot longer than the USA and they improved it a lot too.

So you putting a yblock in your 46? interesting setup. Always something different on these old fords.

I think those merc carbs are around 100 cfm. I think the early yblocks used a 94 Holley before moving to the teapot (tower of inferno) carbs. I put a 390 2 barrel on a 292 and it's been great. Just enough.
