Default Need Help with 1937 Ford PU rear end pinion removal

On my 1937 Ford pickup I am trying to remove the pinion and race from the rear end housing. I have disassembled all parts except the pinion. I am having trouble removing the pinion. Please help if you can-919-427-7480.

Bringing this back to the top for Jack. Hope he's gotten responses already but if not thought it might help to post it again. Jack is working on a 37 pickup that is in his avatar photo and I recently sent him a good used ring and pinion that he had posted a wanted ad in the Swap section.

pretty sure there was a post recently showing ways to remove the pinion from the housing-- using a press is the easy way to do it. some times a little heat to housing also helps during the pressing

There have been quite a few "how to do" posts done here on the Barn, plus tech articles written and posted here and on the HAMB. Some searching in the archives should bring these up.

Short bottle jack and a 3/8 nut on the pilot of the pinion will push it out.
