Default weekend pictures

Not sure if these are both 38's The red one came from the U.S. its Right Hand Drive, that owner had purchased it from South Africa, so its been around the world .. Nev [seen working on the red one] finishing up the brakes also finished building the engine and trans for the yellow one too. Both very nice.

Is the yellow standard a club coupe?

The tan '38 std jewel is what we easterners call a sedan coupe....not a lot made. Never
saw one in a std version. When you have a chance put it on a boat and I'll check it
out for you for a few years !...OK ?

Looks like a protector for the grill/radiator. Stone guard. Could be a little bigger to cover more area. Or, may be something else.

It runs 180 thermostats, just takes a looonng time to get up to temp..
Had to do a fair drive down the hwy yesterday so I had the cover off even after 30 mins at 60 mph and some stops and starts it would only get to 150..

The '38 standard looks like a 5 window coupe, not a club coupe.

Yes they are quite different in the roofline ..
I really liked the styling on both very 'art deco' The little chrome 'wind splits' above the headlights the stylish hood ornament - catch on the red 38 ..magic !

Unlike in the USA, Ford Australia did offer the Club Coupe in both Standard or Deluxe models. Here is a picture from the original Sales Brochure showing a 1938 Ford Standard Club Coupe. No Five Window Coupes were ever offered in Australia.

34 I think. Nevs finally getting into that one after 40 years, also in that shed if you look very carefully at the back is a 56 crown Victoria . There is also a Tudor street rod his son is doing the upholstery on and in front of where he is working is 4 door. Other sheds have his other cars.. I've taken Lawrie around there when he was over here.
