Default 1950 F-1, how many leaves?

On my 1950 F-1 I have ten leaves at all four corners. Is this normal? I did notice that the threads on the u Bolts don't protrude out of the nuts at all. In fact only about half of the threads are used in the nuts. Was this a heavy hauling conversion or is this stock?

take out at least 2/3 leaves, maybe four and the ride will greatly improve-that is unless you are hauling firewood or mulch

I just counted them again. Mine has ten all the way around, not 8 in front. Well, I was going to put a homemade flatbed on it? That will help I am sure.
