Default Vibration /noise when clutch is depressed

Fired up my roadster to go for a drive . When I pushed the clutch pedal to the floor I noticed a noise (sort of a clacking ) and felt some vibration.
My 32 has the stock motor/trans. I took it up the street and it drove completely fine and shifted normal . Noise seems to only be there while clutch pedal is depressed . Never has done this before so I’m unsure what it is / what the cause could’ve been, prior to this car has always ran/shifted fine

Could be a throw-out bearing or a pressure plate problem or both. How much free play does the clutch pedal have? Does the clutch pedal feel normal when depressed?....

draggin49: Remove the transmission cover and depress the clutch pedal slowly. When you feel resistance that's when the throwout bearing is starting to engage and will make a sound like a bad bearing. Could also be that the little spring on the throwout bearing is broken or come off. Also check pilot bearing in flywheel while you're at it.

Verify correct part numbers before purchasing. You can buy bearing separately.

sounds like the release bearing aka throw out bearing has collapsed and the clacking sound you hear is the finger on the pressure plate bumping on the bad bearing

Uneven pressure plate fingers can also cause some chatter when the clutch is depressed, and will lead to throwout bearing failure over time. Measure the distance from the pressure plate back plate and each finger. They should all be within a few thousandths of each other. An uneven wear pattern on the finger ends is a good indicator.
