Glue for generator wire wrap.
In Les Andrew's red book it states that one should wrap bare wires with a cotton thread and seal it with a heat resistant glue but doesn't say what glue to use. I've done searches on the Ford Barn site and on the web and haven't found any reference to a glue for this use.
What have you used?

Re: Glue for generator wire wrap.
Glyptal is used to insulate and protect most motor winding and generator armatures.
It is also used on cast iron to smooth the rough surfaces such as valve chambers to speed oil return. http://www.glyptal.com/ https://www.electro-wind.com/glyptal...can-361-g.html Last edited by GPierce; 11-09-2020 at 08:03 PM. |
