Hello
I am looking for a blower for my next flathead so placed a wanted ad here. I got a response from a fellow barner but it is not what I wanted ( I am looking for 471 or Weiand, B&M) so I let you all know. If someone is interested I can give you the contact. Here is the reply I received:
"I have an original Italmeccanica Ford V-8 setup . It's complete with new drive gears NOS intake. Dual pulleys for water pumps and generator & crank. If interested let me know"

When talking blowers, especially the little Weiands or older B&M's, you'll be miles ahead buying new. Almost all of these used little blowers will need their Telfon strips replaced.

Just read this morning Coppock Performance & Engineering is making the Joe Abbin designed blower kits now. That would be the way to go if you are looking for a reliable, street driven blower set up.

I don't see where the problem is, other than the response was not about a 4-71, Weiand, or B & M. The person was offering you the more desirable Italmeccanica. If this is not what you want, thank the person, but let them know you appreciate their contacting you. Some people would be very thankful to be offered the opportunity to purchase an Italmeccanica blower at almost any price.

There is no problem, I told him that it is not what I want as I will not spend that lot of money for a blower. He suggested I should let my friends know that he has this thing for sale so I told you all about this opportunity. So far, nobody asked me for the contact. So if any of you lot is interested, I can give you the info that I have. Thats all there is to it.
