Default Model A cam options?

I need a good camshaft but I don't want to put over $400 in one. I don't have a core to trade in or to get re ground. What are some options?

Thanks for any directive

Look in the Swap Meet here on Ford Barn. George has cams listed for sale for $25.00 each.

It might help to hint where you are located -- some have extra cams the may want to part with -- just a suggestion.

Bill Stipe can help you. He regrinds as well as makes new ones. I have installed several of his new ones. They work very well. I'm just a customer.

I bet that you can get a regrind or a used B cam from Berts without a trade in core. Try 800-321-1931 tuesday through saturday at noon. Berts is in Denver and I have always been treated right by them.

If you can find a core with an out of tolerance center journal, I can fix it and grind the lobes. CENTER JOURNAL ONLY.
PM me for details.

Thumbs up Re: Model A cam options?

This is one of the great things about Ford Barn. There are lots of people on here who are willing to help with almost any Model A problem or issue. I am privileged to be able to read and post to this site.

X2 for Bill Stipe cams. Some (if not most) of the vendors carry his IB330 cam as well.

Try Jim Brierley. I got a regrind from him and just paid the core fee, instead of shipping across the country twice. Very reasonable, IMHO.
Good Luck.
