Restoration of an abandoned Model T

Hello everyone..I have a abandoned Model T i got from my grandfather before he passed.Just have time to start up this project,Its been abandoned for lot of years.Will be needing some Model T parts for the restoration.Will check and attach detailed parts i will be starting up with very soon.Whatch out..

Snyder's is a business that sells Model T parts, Tams also. You can look them up if you aren't familiar with them. The Ford Barn has a swap section to buy and sell also.

Good fun. A suggestion, where you post your name, give a general locale. If you should need a hand or assist, there might just be an ol' codger eager to share. Maybe even spare parts needed. Keep posting.

The OP will certainly learn a lot about model Ts when restoring a car that is likely incomplete. Most of the abandoned ones had parts removed to repair others so they couldn't give the car away back in the day.

This forum and the MTFCA are good places to start looking for needed original parts. A lot of reproduction stuff is available but is sometimes not as good a quality as OEM parts.

First thing I would do is check the frame, a quick check with a tape measure using several plumb bobs would give one a pretty quick idea its condition.

There is a great DVD-6-5 through the MTFCA on the frame. Good luck and don't forget Chaffins and Langs for T parts. Tam's are model A parts.
