I purchased this hub cap at a Swap Meet from a vendor who had it on his 1928 pickup. He said he never saw another one like it after years of searching so he sold it. It's wall art for me, but I'm curious of the history. Has anyone ever seen this accessory?

Except for the clips on the back side, look to hook over wire spokes.

Thank you A Model A for attaching these images from the book. I have the book and did not recall seeing those. Sure enough I have the Kingsley Miller illustration, but not the one of the full wheel.
