Default 1953 V8 engine color

As I understand it, '52 and '53 engines in passenger cars were either a bronze color or red/orange, correct?

In my '53 Customline I see traces of blue paint on the engine and the trans (Fordomatic) is definitely blue.

Were there also blue engines in '53 or has somebody painted both the engine and trans in my car at some point during the last 68 years?

I always thought they were "Tangerine" (red/orange), but the Fordomatic may throw a joker in the deal.

Tangerine in cars

Not sure about fordomatic.

Green for truck engines.

Is it possible engine swapped out?

The engine could have been swapped at some point to like a '49 engine.
Just curious since the trans has the same blue color.

Don't really know what that has to do with my question.

Mikko, sometimes new guys are afraid to start a new thread and just hook on to an existing one. It was just your turn this time.
