Default Cam, Fuel Pump Q....

59AB engine, std. cam (I believe). Holley 94.
Q..... Have #1 Cyl, at TDC, are fuelpump push rod at its highest point?
I think, I have some problems with the fuel pump, only 1.5 psi / lbs, new diaphragm!

The push rod rests on the cam lobe, the lift should be .200 I've checked the lift many times but never noticed where the piston is. Walt

Take the gasket out from under the FP stand. Use thin film of RTV and check FP pressure again...

I think pressure is dependent on the strength of the spring in the pump as well as the stroke of the push rod. Also, you might want to examine the check valves in the pump to be sure neither is leaking. FWIW. Good luck!

Thanks guys for your comments! Walt, yes i have .200 "lift.
What I wanted to check was that the pushrod does not bottom out in the fuel pump, some bad noise came from there (sometimes) at idle!
