Default 12 volt Alternator Replacement

I recently replaced the headlight wiring harness on my 1930 CCPU. I am now experiencing a problem with the alternator. I had no issues with alternator before the harness replacement. The alternator is a 12 volt, negative ground, 63 amp, 10si unit.
Not sure if I miswired when I reconnected the wires to the alternator or not.
Could someone post an actual picture illustrating the correct wiring for all the wire connected to the alternator?
In event the wiring is correct, I plan to have the alternator checked by NAPA.
If the unit needs replacement, can someone provide specific brand and model number for replacement.
Lastly, am I correct that this alternator needs to run at high rpm before it will charge?

Bob

Is it a single wire alternator? Have a diagram of connections if you will send me an email, will send them to you. My email is [email protected]

I bought a Wagner Alternator they make them for the model A, in both 6 volt and 12 volt. You can buy the fit kit brackets also, and it goes together easy. I have a 12 volt system and the whole setup works great. www.wagnerproducts.com

A one-wire alternator is hard to screw up. One wire from output post to battery.

For a stock 12V alternator it can be wired like this -

It was originally a 3-wire alternator. The main post feeds the buss and the smaller two pin plug is for the warning light system and the voltage sense. They work better if a person uses all three wires as intended but they will work as a single wire set up.

Be aware that the 6 volt versions may " self excite" differently to maintain the magnetism. Check with the specific vendor for both voltage applications..
