1949 Mercury Radio Install
I'm an idiot....
I have the chrome bezel for the radio installed on the face of my 1949 Mercury dash. Can anyone tell me how the actual radio attaches to the car? Thanks!! |

Re: 1949 Mercury Radio Install
There are 2 radio suppot brackets that hold it in place. They attach to the firewall. 50 and 51 are the same. I think 49 are different size, but operate on the same principle. You could make them without too much trouble. I think I have them installed upside down in the photo. Those radios are big and heavy.I have the tubes from my 49-51 Merc radios if you need any.

Re: 1949 Mercury Radio Install
The 50 and 51 do not attach to the firewall (believe 49 is the same) they attach to the dash.
