The shaft from my 47 is marked 18-1
its 47 3/4" and 36" to hole for lock.
I bought a worm and shaft and got it all together and the steering wheel didn't go on was hitting . I made it work but my first ride when I went to shaft it my knuckles were hitting the lever. Don,t let this happen to you.
Measure before you replace shaft mine was to short.

I admire someone who admits his shaft was too short. Sorry, couldn't resist.

The 11A-3524 for 1941-48 with the steering lock hole can have worm marked 18 or 82. The length from end to lock hole is 34.97" (35")
