Any good contact cement. Do not use water based contact cement. I use Weldwood, 3-M and several others.

I thought the windlace at the front of the door opening was attached to the body hinge pillar and held in place by the kick panel, the ends of the dash rail and the windshield side garnish molding. I did not think it was glued to the door frame. This is the way my Tudor is and I thought the coupes were the same????

There should be a channel along the forward edge of the door that gets crimped to hold the windlace along the upper edge of the door alongside the window.

The channel has to be carefully pried open and cleaned out first. Somebody has punched extra holes in the passenger side door channel.

3M weather strip adhesive is what I used. It comes in a tube and is available in yellow or black. Works well for any application requiring a glue. The windlace is correct to be installed on the door side, not the hinge side. Looks as though someone used a chisel to secure the windlace in the past.

3M weather strip adhesive and Weldwood contact are both excellant.

Based on your pic i would use 3m because it is thicker.

Jer, just get a quart of Weldwood, that will do it.

I use shoe-goo for nearly every kind of gluing need. It is thick, very strong, waterproof and stays flexible. I have used it for fabrics and holding mechanical items that need both strength and flexibility. For example, on my '31 a few dabs on the back of the ammeter and it is held in place firmly...on a dirt bike I have used it to re-attach a rubber mount that holds the exhaust pipe in place, a lot of vibration, heat and stress...and it held for years! Unbelievably versatile stuff I flat count on for all kinds of repairs and bonding.
