I think you have to be a member to view discussions - $50.00 annual membership fee....

Re: Ignition class discussion on the flatspot
This is what it is all about and no there is NOT any $50.00 annual membership fee as erroneously posted above.

Re: Ignition class discussion on the flatspot
Great thanks
What might be helpful to some is a brief understand of the helmet dual point distributor. I spent this winter with my brother building a tester with stepper motor controller and misc items be able to determine precise dwell Period and dwell time. The two sets of points are a very unique way of extending the dwell periid. |

Didn't realize they wanted money. I'm building a new engine for the roadster, and it's in short supply.
Gramps PS this group is a good place for beginners. WE have allot of information among us.. |

I got confused. Because I don't have a FaceBook account (which is free) I went to the FlatSpot website which mentions an annual premium membership fee of $50.00. My bad.... http://myflatheadford.com/product/si...linked-banner/

Re: Ignition class discussion on the flatspot
The Flat-Spot is free on Facebook. I personally do not pay the $50.00 as it is not a organization but rather a one person collects the money type of deal. It is a great Facebook discussion community..

Re: Ignition class discussion on the flatspot
Just a side comment on this string.
Be extremely careful measuring the voltage on the low voltage side of the coil(in fact don't do it with a good meter use one you are willing to sacrifice ). Only do it when the car is not running AND your not attempting to get in running. It is very possible to get an extremely large voltage back feeding into the low voltage ckt. which can destroy your VOM. There are ways of doing but in general don't - my 2cents |

Re: Ignition class discussion on the flatspot
Believe it's donation like being an alliance member here. I really appreciate this forum. I find more information here everyday. Beginners to pros. If you want to get really crazy the hamb is there. Flatspot is fine however. But we are talking about it here, so it made it here.
I don't think if bubba had a online class that cost money and was interactive that it would be a bad thing. Probably should create an open source website that caters to individuals creating open online learning for all people with a small charge. Use every source you need to. "Flatspot"? It sounds like a bar near a circle track to me.

Re: Ignition class discussion on the flatspot
I still haven't figured out what the "discussion on Ignition" is. (Unless it is post #7, and nothing else.) And, I suppose it's obvious, I have no idea what "flatspot" is. Hoping someone will educated me. Maybe I'm with tubman... a local bar. right next door to 'rite-spot'.
