Tire Pressure
What pressure should I run in the 30X3 tire, and how much in the 30X31/2 Thaniks in advance.

Re: Tire Pressure
Sounds high Jack. Doing some further checking. So far 50 to 55 seems the norm. I run 50 in the 3 1/2's.

Re: Tire Pressure
I've had a bunch of 30" Ward's Riverside tires on the road over the years and they were always happiest at 65#

Re: Tire Pressure
The rule of thumb is generally 20 psi per inch of tire width for clincher tires -- 3 1/2 X 20 = 70 psi.
With really good rims & very sound tires you can try to run less but the risk of heat & rim cuts increases as pressure decreases. |
