Default NOS hose clamps




Look at these nos hose clamps still in the Ford box. Were they origionaly painted black, or did someone paint them ??

Those hose clamps are actually 1.88&quot; in diameter and are for the 1937-39 60 hp Ford and were later used on the 4 cylinder Ford truck of 1940-41 and on the 6 cylinder 1941-48 Ford. The package looks to me as if it were packed for WWII military use and this could be why they were painted black. Ford packed in bulk like to meet military purchase requirements. They are not Model T clamps...they are close but no cigar.
