Default Went for a drive today......

I was out in my shop doing some rewiring on my old Model A. I happened to stick my head out the door and discovered it was a beautiful, warm (62 degrees) day for February. I asked myself why was I stuck inside on such a rare, gorgeous day? So i fired up the old flathead and went for a little cruise. Man, it was nice out! Stopped for a little fresh non-ethanol and just enjoyed the ride. Window down, folks giving an occassional wave. Did this old guys heart some good.

Took my 42 for a 8 mile run today. 57 degrees on Lake Erie today, unusual!

Drive your V8. They were meant to be driven. I drive year round as long as the road is dry. Folks around my small town love it and wave.

I took advantage of the mild weather in the Chicago/Northwest Indiana region and drove my 1937 Ford throughout the day, even to the Mexican Store.

I really enjoyed my 1937 Ford today. Very mild temps in the Northwest Indiana/Chicago area made for almost perfect driving conditions.

Nice!!

You guys are lucky, I always wait for one or two heavy rains before I venture out. We haven't had that in NW Illinois.

The IDOT is quick to pour thousands of tons of salt on the roads around here, even if there is predicted a 'hint' of possible 'frost' they go crazy. This week was no exception.

You can literally slide your car on the mounds of salt laying around, some at the intersections form speed bumps of salt.

Jeff, I'm way down in Southern Illinois. 50 miles East of St. Louis, MO. They get stupid with the salt here too. This winter has been unusual though. It's been pretty dry down here and not much salt has been spread on the roads. Or maybe they can't afford the salt now either? Anyway, spring is near.

Out here is pothole city and they can't afford to fix the roads either! The alignment shops are doing a land office business.

Got pounded with 18 inches of snow Sat(3/23) not even sure if I’ll get my car out of storage by the end of this month.
