Default Ford F1 pitman arm refurb: Spherical turning without any fancy fixtures.

Hello. Welcome to another video from Mart's garage. hey, if you don't ever try anything, you never learn anything new, right? In this video I manage to repair a badly worn f1 pitman arm in the trusty Willson lathe. It was a new experience for me and I think it turned out well. Ok enough Yakkin' lets get on with it.

It's best to watch in YouTube so the like and subscribe buttons are available, and leave a comment if you like.

Thanks for watching, please reply to this thread so I can gauge how the video was received.

Cheers!

Mart.

Well done! Using that loop of emery had me holding my breath, tho, same with the file.

I try to always push the emery rather than pull. Almost knocked my thumb off pulling during my tenure running hiem rod ends on a Monarch tracer in 1969.

Great idea for turning the ball, turned out great. As always I enjoy your video projects.

That was very interesting, and very creative on your part. Being a newbie with my Logan, I'm always learning new ways to get the job done. Thanks Mart

Thanks fellas. Being well aware that a level of danger is involved is part of the safety.
