Hello, I am restoring a 1955 F100. I just ordered a pair of hood side emblems from Mid Fifties Ford co. They look right, but the mounting studs don't even come close to lining up with the holes in the hood. Has anyone else experienced this ?

Have you asked the ladies at Mid Fifties? They are very helpful.

Just a stray thought.....
Did the hood have emblems on it when you started, or just the holes?
Might a previous owner have changed the hood ('54 or '56 ?) and there's a slight difference in different year emblems?
