Can't lock rear wheel up on adjuster.
I thought i would give the brakes a once over today,I did it by the book and made the brake board.
But I can't get the rear passenger side to lock up when I have the board on the third notch, its tight but not locked. I can't lock the wheel up on the brake adjuster even without using the brake board. The brakes aren't that old. |

Wheel bearing grease or rear end oil on the shoes? I would pull the drum and check things out. It should lock up.

I would also measure the individual brake rods clevis pin to clevis pin, and compare the left to the right..

Re: Can't lock rear wheel up on adjuster.
can you turn the adjuster all the way in and lock the wheel? if not you got some major issues in the drum area.

Disconnect the pull rod and see if you can then get the adjuster to lock the wheel. That will give an indication where the problem is. |
