Default Swollen Pot Metal Lock Cylinder Solution- Maybe...

So I have been playing with some Evaporust and my gas/ radiator caps.

I also happen to have my box of door handles open on the bench. So I throw in some stuff just for the heck of it. Two of the items were handles with frozen pot metal lock cylinders. As in no play and no twist motion.

I rinsed off the locks and slipped a screwdriver in and found they had motion. The wafers inside also move.

Now I do not know if this was just because of the Evaporust or maybe another reason.

I was hoping those with frozen lock cylinders and Evaporust would throw them in for a couple of days and see if it helps. I am curious if this works or is just something that happened with the couple I happen to have.

Please try it and report back.

Thanks!

I'm using P.B. Blaster on my rumble lock with good success.
