Robert,
I have been following your progress and you have done a remarkable job in a very short time. Anyone would be proud to be seen in that Model A. Stop by to visit if you're down this way. John Baxter |

Wow Robert. Good for you. Beating cancer, mastering upholstery and all at such a young age. Whats next? Painting? Body work? How are you at fixing rust. I have a beater pickup you can practice on. But you might be sorry if you took this on. Good luck on your A and have a good picnic. Mark.

Looks Great! The headliner is likely the most challenging and yours turned out nice.

Re: Finished my interior today, what ya think?
Hi Mark (zz legend) I also did the body work(first time)also the car did not have a lot of rust two small places about 1" round holes where you would step on running boards easy fix also had to braze couple fender splits and rework the creases around fenders this was my first car that I have painted...OK I did have to get my Brother to help me shoot it again we sanded it down that night after I painted it and shot it again the next morning a very long weekend! Also put the top on and all the window glass myself The wife did help me put the cowl and fender welting in what a job! Did not rebuild the engine but did spruce it up a little I have had a great time with this car, Oh by the way I guess you never really "finish" with a car....started to put emergency brake rods on they were missing...not the only thing missing all the emergency brake parts in hub gone also so look out for some more posts! A very special thanks goes out to John Baxter Vick Varaday and Bob Wyrick of the Tennessee Smokey Mountain Model A Club for helping and showing me how to set points and timing and to Bob for showing and helping me rebuild my 2 tooth steering box...yes it is nice to have a 2 tooth on the 29! You all here on Fordbarn have been a great source of knowledge for a newbie like me!!!! Thanks again and a few more pictures, Robert DeBord.
