Re: Hershey Flooding
I too hope all in flood areas are well!! I hear Hershey park is under water or was. The park zoo lost two animals to the fast rising water, some roadways around the park are severely buckled. The traffic control last year was a nightmare, the morons were letting the right lane turn left into the parkinglots ahead of and in front of the cars in the left turn lane, causing tremendous bumper to bumper issues for hours. Only took an hour to get from frederick to within 3 miles and two more hours to make it to park. This should prove to be interesting to say the least. Those attending the daily parking, leave damn early and take a Valium, it may be ugly!!!!!!!

Re: Hershey Flooding
For those who still don't believe global warming is changing the climate and weather patterns need to get with the program. These weather events especially, have been progressively worse every year. Bad shit!!!

Re: Hershey Flooding
The AACA Forum has some vedios of the flood water around the show area, the HAMB has first hand reports. That Treatment Plant had a 24 Million dollar upgrade not long ago, all under water now.

Re: Hershey Flooding
I'm not going to get into the science of this but I believe the rain is the cause of a tropical storm.....which have been going on for thousands of years.....its called nature. It is terribly unfortunate and I hope everyone is safe. These natural disasters happpen and as people we will combine our efforts and get through these though times, stonger and better than before.

Re: Hershey Flooding
The climate has been going through cycles for millions of years, ( heard of the ice age? It was in our science books) and will continue to do so, and there is nothing that man can do to change it.

Re: Hershey Flooding
Funny thing, never meant to hijack the thread, and I'm not 'freaking out', but it makes no difference when I'm wrong with G.W. But is sure as heck does when the rest of you are.

Re: Hershey Flooding
There may be little doubt that we might be warming be up. However, I read where the temperature of all the planets in the solar system are up. Personally I think it's just Al Gore's rising star. A way to keep his name in front of the public. The Earth has never been in "Stasis", our climate has always been changing. From cold to warm and a back again. We had the good luck to grow up in a short period when the climate was fairly stable and we think it should always be that way.
