Rotella 10W-30 T-4 Oil???
I am a new member of this forum and a new owner of a 1930 Model A sedan. I know this is a poor subject but I have some left over jugs of Rotella 10W-30 T-4 oil and wonder if it would safe to use in my 1930 Model A. Thanks to all.

It's fine, I just used it because it was bought by mistake. I like 15w40, 10w30 is thinner but it will be fine.

Agree. Fine to use, especially in winter.

Re: Rotella 10W-30 T-4 Oil???
Welcome to the Barn! It's an old saying around here,"Whatever is on sale at Walmart is fine!
Another old saying is, "The best oil of 1930 is not as good as the worst oil of today" Just don't use 30 weight , Non detergent. The stuff sludges up the whole engine. I know this is not easy, but try to always run the engine till hot to remove all condensation and clean your breather now and then. Good Luck! Terry |

Re: Rotella 10W-30 T-4 Oil???
Hello, welcome to the barn , Model A engines aren’t too much different than tractor engines, if you do a search on engine oil , the posts go on seemingly forever. As mentioned today’s oils are much improved from the 1930,s Kendall oil used to say it was so good it could go to 2000 mile oil changes.
