The Twenty Millionth Ford; new video
We put together a new video detailing some of the history of the 20,000,000th Ford; a 1931 Town Sedan. We use archived Ford films to highlight some of the details of the car, the tour, and the brilliant marketing plan behind filming every single stop.
Be sure to watch for a very excited 67 year old Henry Ford leaping over a safety railing to get at the car! https://youtu.be/w7CG2x35N3M 2.jpg |

Thanks. Very interesting. Where were all the security men? Times have changed.
Might be interesting to do the route for a group of Model A's today. Maybe for the 100th anniversary.

Re: The Twenty Millionth Ford; new video
What a car, what a great turn out for the Ford parade of vehicles. Looks like a lot of fun for a great number of folks...... for a relatively low cost to Ford Motor Company.
I had the privilege of owning two ‘ 31 SW sedans. With that visor gone so is a lot of noise along the sense of being held back while moving down the road. Add the strength of the majority steel body they are truly a major step up in the A Ford world. IMHO ✔️🇺🇸 |

....saw this commemorative silver plaque for sale at an antques dealer, but the $6000 price tag motivated me to keep my wallet in my pocket and just take photos:

Re: The Twenty Millionth Ford; new video
When the car was found it still had the engine stamped 2000000.
The car was returned to the family after the 10 year lease with Ford was up and it is believed to still be with that family. There is varying information as to the shape of the car today.
