Hi Brent, do you fly in and rent a car or drive the full distance?

We will be there. Any one have a reasonable priced seat for a 30-31 pickup to bring?

Well, I typically drive the full distance however after just getting back from Florida on a Model-T tour and paying over $5.00 a gallon for fuel, I am having strong considerations about not going. I understand many have said the fuel costs will keep them away from Chickasha too.

How bad do you think the hi cost
Of fuel will affect the meet. I would hate to go that far and find hardly any one or vendors there

It's a 2 1/2 day drive for me and last few times I did attend. I did not even make overhead. Now with Diesel.....
I will pass on Chickasha probably for ever.

I'm only about 70 miles away and I'm still up in the air about going, I haven't even been to a car show in two years, they are taking all the fun out of everything they touch.

I havent been in years, but I'm a lot closer than most of you. If I drive right my Ford Eco-boost gets dang near 30 mpg, and bought a toll pass in Dallas a while back. I guess I better google the dates.

I’m going, I think it’s going to be a good one. All the hotels are booked solid 18-19 March. I had 2 of the hotels say they are booked solid cause of “Old Car Swap Meet”. I think that’s a very encouraging sign.

I considered not going but decided the fuel costs are not going to keep me away. I love this swap meet and I look forward to seeing old friends again. I'll cut back somewhere else if need be but at my age, how many more trips to Chickasha or Hershey are left in my future? Never look back!

If gas goes up by $2 a gallon and your vehicle gets 5 miles per gallon, a 1000 mile trip will cost an extra $400. Add your return trip and it is $800. Between this year and next year's show that is $2.19 per day. Is the hobby worth that?

5 MPG, not sure what your driving but my F150 will get 20 MPG average on highway. I’ll spend about $200 round trip on gas.

Yes, it’s worth it to me.
