What gap should I set the points? I checked them and found one set @ .015, the other @ .025. Motor is 59A bored/stroked to 284, blown. I believe Ford recommended .015 - .018 on theirs. Any help appreciated. Thanks

start digging on the web on the mallory sites if youve got the part No it will be there some where

Most Mallorys have the point gap stamped on the ID tag.

That is the initial setting but the one set will change when the dwell is set.

I run Mallorys on several cars, and I have found they run better if I set the dwell rather than the points gap. It takes some fiddlin' but it's worth it in my book.

I'll second what Tubman said. I set all my distributors by dwell, not point gap.
