Default Transmission & Driveshaft Roller Beareings

I read on the Ford Barn about imported needle roller bearings being of substandard quality to the extent the bearings failed in service.

I rebuilt the transmission in my 190A in 2014 using new needle roller bearings on the market at that time. Recently, I removed that transmission to check on its bearings. The transmission has between 5000 & 10,000 miles on it since its rebuild. The needle roller bearings are perfect, and they visually compare well to original bearings.

I just received a set of needle roller bearings from Bratton's, and they are identical to those in my transmission. So my thought is that there is no longer a concern about replacement needle roller bearings. Do you all find this to be the case?

Bob I hope the better bearings are available and, if so, this would be wonderful news. However, I haven't heard that they are better. I am sure you are familiar with Tom Endy's musings on the topic of these crummy bearings and how to tell the difference. For those who might not be:

Perhaps the vendors could weigh in on the product they are selling so we all could know if these bearings have been improved. Would welcome some definitive input.

Following up on this: Snyder's has announced that they are having transmission bearings custom-made for them the correct way. I believe they're in stock now.
