Default Flooding in Germany

On the news there are reports of very severe flooding in Germany. I know that the flooding has impacted our fellow Ford Barn friend Werner's wife's business.
Hoping for the very best for Werner, his family and fellow countrymen.

A terrible situation. Let us offer our prayers of comfort to those stricken, as we do here
each spring in the U.S. with our floodings.

Thanks for your thoughts, but me and all our Model A's are all dry here in Maryland 🙏. I was stationed in Germany (18+ years) when I joined FordBarn many years ago thus the alias. I've still got lots of Model A friends there and we've tried to track down the owner, but they are not part of the "Model A Interessengemeinschaft", so will be difficult.

It is just unbelievably horrible there.....😢

Here's a different screen-grab of that flood damaged Model A in Germany. Looks like a Phaeton......and quite restorable:

Guten Abend Mitmenschen!

We had very, very luck and got off safely, because we are living on a high area. Electricity, water and i-Net are partially available again.

Others have lost their factories and homes, and many have lost their only live!

My wife's company for hydraulic clamping nuts has been completely destroyed, all milling machines, boring machines, lathes, computers and files have been destroyed.

The people here help a lot and well. The Bundeswehr, Air Force, Army Aviators with CH 53, Aid Organizations and the Red Cross etc. are bringing drinking water, food and dry clothes. I myself wash the homeless people's dirty laundry all days. There is a strong smell of mold and heating oil. -

btw.: On the above showed photo the Ford lived in the district "Ahrweiler" (license plate "AW"). This very little place has hardest hit, 130 dead, 150 missing.

Thanks to Dave Crosscut for his attention!

Here's a YouTube video showing the flood damage to that owners Model A's and other antique car in their collection:

Devastating ......but most cars look to be quite restorable.

Werner, You should be getting much needed help by now. A singular, tragic event. Your service to others will help you each day.
