1929 Roadster??? (messteration)
What is the back part of this body from? The cowl looks like fordor, 30-31 headlight bar and lights, p/u running boards. Don't know what the
doors are as the handles are mounted so high. Link to car http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Other-R...US_Cars_Trucks Bob Last edited by Bob C; 04-16-2014 at 03:00 PM. |

Looks like 28/29 sport coupe quarter panels to me.

Re: 1929 Roadster???
I notice the belt line on the right door lines up with the cowl and
the left doesn't. Also maybe it has cabriolet cowl and doors. Bob Last edited by Bob C; 04-16-2014 at 05:13 PM. |

Re: 1929 Roadster??? (messteration)
It looks very much like a South American Creation .
I E a car built from many parts .Some Ford Model A and Some Who Knows What !!! You have to admire thier ingenuity and ability to make something from nothing with no money!! JUst what ever was laying around the yard at the time. We see a few of these exported to the UK as they are often RHD,. roadsters with coupe roofs welded on and sport coupes with steel tops making a 3 window coupe, are 2 of the specialitys I have seen . Re: 1929 Roadster??? (messteration)
The "roadster" appears to be made from a 28 or 29 fordor. You can see the gas tank spacer in the picture with the hood open. I agree, it does look like a Johnny Cash car. I wonder if the buyer knew what he was getting or thought is was a real roadster. The top looks really weird.

Re: 1929 Roadster??? (messteration)
Looks to be a Cabriolet but modified to a roadster, probably because all the Cab. top assembly was gone.
It was also common here in NZ into the 1960's to see A's cobbled together from various parts to keep them going but the Sth Americans seem to be the masters at it. |
