Default F-1 Front Brakes

City: Kerrville
State: Texas
Price: $200

Nice set of 49-53 F-1 front brakes. They bolt on the early spindles and the lug pattern is 5 on 5 1/2. They are self entergising like Lincolns and self adjusters can easily be added.
Parts are nice with no issues. The backing plates and hubs have been media blasted. The hubs are complete with spindle nuts, washers, bearings and caps. All attaching hardware is included. The retaining springs, studs, and keepers, wheel cylinder bolts, shoe links all included.
You would need new seals and the different big cone bearings. You would need the wheel cylinders and shoes. Wheel cylinders are available from RockAuto for about $7 ea. New shoes are about $18 a set.The drums are smooth and in great shape but they are at the wear limit. New drums are very cheap also. 80 Bronco rears fit
I can send examples of the shoes and wheel cylinders if you want them for comparison to the relacement ones. I also have the hoses and anti squeek springs that go on the drums.
I include the grease baffles and the mounting bolts.
I have the same set up on my 32 roadster. They work great. Ford used the same internals thru the mid 60's at least so parts are readily available.

Since posting the pics, I have given the blasted parts a coating of Ospho to prevent rust and give better paint adhesion.
