Default 1938 De Luxe

Have a new member to the family! As you can see it's infected my son with the car bug. I think he loves it more than I do. https://imgur.com/a/nadujwV

Looking at the avatar, I don't think that hanging that flathead from that type of engine stand is a good idea. I don't see any additional supports for the motor and it could lead to a broken bell housing. You do have a nice looking 39 fordor.

This would be an example of the BROKEN bell housing that TJ speaks of. You would see this ugly picture whilst your engine lies on the floor at the bottom of that engine stand. DD

This is how you want to mount the early ('32-'48) blocks!

Thanks everyone! I took that Avatar pic about 11 years ago to cause a couple of heart attacks. No flat heads were harmed in the making. I'd like to change my Avatar but I'm having tech difficulty. Please bear (I know that's the wrong spelling but I don't want to be taken literally) with me.

Actually...…"Bear with me or bare with me: which is correct? Well, the long and short of it is that, in its verb form, "bare" means to reveal or uncover. "Reveal with me," doesn't quite have the intended meaning of "hold on a moment." Consequently, "bear with me" is the correct spelling of this common phrase." So...CORRECTLY-spelled after all! DD

Yeah, I've been doing that but each time I add a photo it tells me it's an invalid file...I presume it's because everything is on my phone. Going to give a try from the old Laptop a little later. I do appreciate the help though. Early V8 folks really gotta look out for each other.

Whew! Either way I dodged a bullet with that one!

It has to be a really small photo

Right click on the photo you are trying to upload and see what the file size is. I would assume it is too large and exceeds the site limits. There are several methods you can use to reduce the file size.

Many times, just e-mailing a picture to YOURSELF will reduce it's file size. DD
