Snyder's Heavy Duty Radiator
What does everyone think about Snyder's heavy duty radiator?
http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/1804 Does it fit up pretty good? I have a 1928. Thanks, Neal

Re: Snyder's Heavy Duty Radiator
I purchased one earlier this summer and put it on my 1930 Tudor. After a complete engine rebuild by Antique Engine Rebuilders, I put my original radiator back on the car. I didn't realize I blew the head gasket and got too low on fluid on an engine break in trip. I melted the solder and blew the original.
The Snyder's radiator fits perfect and looks great. I installed a 160 degree thermostat housing from Vintage Precision in California. I just returned from a 1,000 mile roundtrip tour from Iowa to the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corner's, MI and the temperature stayed around 170 degrees the entire way home. Cooling capacity is great and aesthetics are dead on. I researched and priced all the options and chose the Snyder's after reading as much as I could on The Barn. I just rolled 1,400 miles last night and am not disappointed. |

Re: Snyder's Heavy Duty Radiator
I installed one of their HD radiators in my 1931 pickup. Good fit, no problems encountered by me.

Re: Snyder's Heavy Duty Radiator
That is great info guys, thank you so much. I have heard stories of fit not being accurate, so glad to hear that they are fitting on perfect. Thanks again.

Re: Snyder's Heavy Duty Radiator
I put one on my 29 Cabriolet. My mechanic was so impressed when I had overheating problems with my 1928 Roadster he installed the same one. Total satisfaction !

Re: Snyder's Heavy Duty Radiator
I got my 28-29 heavy duty radiator from Snyder's ten or twelve years ago, so I don't know if it's exactly the same. Anyway, I've never had any cooling problems. The fit was perfect and it looks great.

Re: Snyder's Heavy Duty Radiator
I purchased one from Snyder for my 31 Roadster Pickup. It fit perfect (wholes lined up perfect). It is packed very well for shipping. It did have a very light paint job (could see a lot of brass color) but I used some radiator paint to make it perfect.
