This reminds me of the post where someone complains about a vendor without asking the vendor for an explanation. Get back to the club with the story.

They should stop giving Trophy's at shows, and give the money to local charities instead.

I was parked next to a fiberglass replica 1937 at a car show with my restored '37 coupe.I asked the guy if it had a Chevy engine in it and he said he actually did not know because he had just bought it the day before and he did not know how to open the hood.No one else did either and throughout the day tries were made by people who thought they knew how to release the hood. When it came trophy time they did not give the owners name but just called out for best original car a, '37 Ford coupe and the coast to coast '37 coupe guy jumped up and grabbed the trophy. No one said anything but told me I should complain about it but I figured he wanted it more than me,really nice trophy however.Judging was supposed to be open hood required but guess he tried. At another show I won Best of Show ,rather my '37 did and a week later at a great old car show in Mount Vernon Ohio that I had attended for years that used to be put on by the Dixie Car Club,I think,my '37 was beaten out by a 2013 VW Jetta. This would have been in 2013.I did not say a word but a group of us had travelled to this show and no one trophied,so one guy checked out why there was more than one newer cars that had gotten awards and it was explained that they wanted to reward the volunteers that had helped with the show.Never went back. I do like working on them better than sitting at a car show all day.I just miss the old days when every old car show was just that and a flea market was included.

Lincoln Mark VIII is a nice thing. Not a flathead... as we digress...
