Default Mystery Door Handle

I found this in my Ford stuff today. I don't remember where I got it but, as you can see, I'm sure that I got it, at least for the V8.

Any Ideas what it's off of?

Frank

It is an aftermarket die cast (reproduction) of a '37 decklid handle. Originals were stainless steel clad over a steel base.

Thank you, everyone. Yes, it is a repro, a magnet won't stick to it.

Is it worth $10?

True, a magnet may not stick to some grades of stainless steel but it will also not stick to cast pot metal which the handle is most likely made of.

If the above is true, and it's plated steel, a magnet would stick to it. A magnet does stick to the shank and flange.

I have an original handle like that on my 30 Ford coupe, have always known it was the wrong year for it. It was on the car when I bought it back in 1957.

...back in the day, I found lots of the NOS 37 handles w/keys in old Ford dealers. I sold many to owners of 32s, 34s, and others. It was difficult to find 32, 33, and 34 trunk handles in good shape w/keys then & now.
