Default value of a 39 1/2 ton frame

Got this a few months ago hoping that the block is good. Was told it was a 47 pickup but when I cleaned the rust off the frame it's marked 99C which I believe is a 39. Is there any value to any of it besides the engine? If not I guess I'll have to scrap it which I really don't want to do. Can't leave it sitting at my friends house for too much longer.

With parallel leaf springs that would be a '42-'47 frame, although a '47 should have a 799C prefix on the serial #.

Rear has value. Transmission crossmember and pedals are worth about $150. The spindles amd front brakes have value. Dont scrap it

I recently had to do a lot of research on a '46 Ford that I had bought and resold. The car was an unmolested 2dr sdn. I sold the car to a man in Washington, the state of Washington would not recognize the serial number on the frame because it had "99" as the beginning numbers in lieu of "69" or "18" as the books imply.
I was finally able to establish that the '99' was correct for '39/46 if the vehicle had the '39 Merc 239 cid engine.
I would have to assume that since the chassis in question has the parallel springs it is a '42 or later and could have been equipped with the Merc 239 engine when it was built.

the numbers 99C are decoded as follows

99 is the designate of a 100 hp V8 sometimes referred to as a Mercury Motor
the letter "C" is commercial, 1/2 ton pick up or 1/2 ton panel truck

frame definitely is 42 to 47, but with the addition of two cab supports it is also 48 to 51

And the transmission itself.

What's the value in the transmission crossmember?

Commercials actually came back on line in 1945 after the War Dept gave permission for manufacturers to go that way in mid 1945. All 239 CID commercial vehicles from 1939 through the 1946 model year would have had 99C in the prefix. The vehicle also could have been titled in late 1946 as a 1947 model so it could in fact be an early 1947. Mac VanPelt's web site has number sequence information that could pinpoint the time of MFR but there isn't as much info out there for commercial vehicles as there is for passenger cars.
