Default 32 motor id number

I tried posting earlier looks like it didn't go up. hope this not a repeat: I have a 32 flathead was told it came out of large truck. Sat for 25 years. missing the generator ,wires spark plug, dis caps .Want to know if there any way I can tell its 32. I know the motor on a model a is stamped. it has the 21 bolt pattern has the lower crossover on the headers ..Any help would be helpful. New to flatheads am old model a guy

The drain petcocks at the front of the block point straight down on a '32 engine. They are at an angle outward after '32. If you are not sure, post pictures of the drain petcocks that show the angle.

Just a bit of bad news, it is extremely unusual to find an original V8 in a commercial vehicle in 1932.

Also, the are no recesses in the block casting between the timing gear cover and the motor mount brackets/water inlet holes on the machined face on the front of the block as shown in the photo below. Also shown in the other photo is the location of the water drain cocks on a '32 block (the drain cocks in the photo is not one of the original versions, of which there were two).

I thought all vin numbers were on the transmission housing
