Default Not a 32 but a camper

After reading Lawrie's post on Road Trip, here is my slide on camper on my 28 pickup.

As this forum is not as stuffy as the model A one, I thought you guys might get a kick out of it, and maybe a little inspiration as to build one.

The build story is in my album.

Got to ask, how does it drive with all of that weight on the back? It is really neat and I like your security system.

The camper weighs about 550 kilos...about 1200 pounds .

What was the carry weight for a stock 28 pickup..1/2 ton or so or more ?

It has heavy duty coils in the back, it handles fine.

Pulls 100 KPH, but I drive about 80 to 90 .

Stock unchopped body. but modern underneath .

BTW, I might fit right in this forum, if I get a 34 5 window I have my eyes on.

Saw it last week for first time, but guy wants it make it more a running roller by fitting a 40 flathead, and it is third in line for work in about a years time, but I will pester him to try and get it as is.

I think its great, the beveled glass door adds a certain elegance too. Good luck with the coupe!
