Default 21 Stud Head Gasket

Where is the best place to get head gaskets for the 21 stud engine and does anyone make custom solid copper gaskets for them?

Solid and MLS gaskets are for HP and a real pain if everything isnīt perfectly flat...and o-ringing a flathead for solid copper isnīt a walk in the park...a normal OHV can be done in the boringbar...a flathead is a CNC machinework.
Composite gaskets is less prone to leak...

Ok, I called my local Best dealer, Bob Drake and was quoted $175 for a set of graphite, 507G. Can that deal be beat?

Check with 35 fordtn, he is a barn member. $175 sounds a little pricy to me .

Napa has a Felpro overhaul set for $150.

They don't stock Best. Are Felpro head gaskets good with the stock aluminum heads?

I've found some NOS, Victor, McCord and Fitzgerald head gaskets. What brand of those would be best for aluminum heads and why, if you have a opinion.

With aluminum heads, I use composite gaskets to avoid any dissimilar metals from coming in to contact with one another.
Mike Drisikell has them.

You've already been told 'Best' are the best. Their 'Graphtite' style. Not just my opinion.

I'm using Best brand gaskets(composite) on the engine in my avatar. The engine has Offy. alum. heads and has given me several years of good service. It had copper gaskets on it when I got it but they didn't last long before leaking.

I have some very old composite 21 stud head gaskets. By old, I mean un-used, old stock. I don't know how to identify them, except that they are marked Victor 1002K. Couple bucks for the postman, and they are otherwise free to you. I can post a picture, if interested. (Two, 1 pair) (175...whew, I'm sure out of touch.)

Thank you, very much, Bob. I'll take you up on your offer.

Let me know what the shipping is and I'll get it to you +.

If you have PayPal, I can send it that way. Other wise PM me your address.

Last time I bought head gaskets they were around 50-75. Guess I should look around and find a set if needed later.
