Default 40 coupe - original horns

how are the original horns powered up? is there a relay in the system? I have the one (relay?) from the orig. wiring but it is not identifiable; where can I get a replacement?

thank you,

fordman

There is a relay. They are often found on eBay, new old stock. In fact, there is one listed at this moment. It is the correct one for your 1940 Ford.
eBay item number:
182084450051
