Default looking for Scott from Woodland Hills, CA.

Scott had purchased a '40 Tudor from me a couple of years ago. I lost his contact information.
And of course, can't recall his last name.
Thanks guys.

I don't think this is the same car but if it is you might be able to track it down from the U Tube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPi9jkUx3Ls

That's the car with a different engine than the one that was in it when I sold it.

Kube….If you click on "SHOW MORE" just below the information below the video portion, the info expands greatly. This name and number appear. DD

"For additional information please phone Dave Henry at 805 705-4924."

Looks to me like someone named Dave Henry made that video as a sales pitch and sold the car. Did you call Dave Henry (number posted at end of video) and ask if bought it from Scott? Or if you are trying to track down the car, ask who he sold it to? Or was Dave Henry the name of the person who made the next video? I can't tell from what I see.

This "Dave Henry" with the "805" phone number appears to be "SpokeMotors", for which I can only find a PO Box....NO physical address. He claims NOT to be a dealer. He appears to be some sort of intermediary or broker. Looks like he made the video and facilitated a sale. If this Dave is a stickler for privacy laws, he may not care to share the buyer's info....if you're not prepared to approach the question creatively. DD

I'm assuming that the jury rigged optima red top was installed after you sold it?

Dave Henry is a stand up guy. He just sold my 100 year old (recently deceased)friends' 32 five window with Miller overhead. I was the one that put him together with the family to sell the car. Dave has sold many of the cars for Nick Alexander. Dave is not a dealer or an appraiser. He will advertise and sell your car and deliver the money directly to the seller. He has no showroom, he is only a sales and advertising guy. Give him a call and tell him your situation. He will not do anything wrong or unethical. Go to Spoke Motors for his info.

I could maybe understand having to replace the one you used with a cheap replacement IF the one that came with the car died for whatever reason. But to use a red top, they aren't cheap and it really detracts from the overall appearance of the engine bay IMO.

This is what it looked like beneath the hood when it left my place.

After all of your sweat and tears, one wonders why the engine change??? I think other than washing or driving one of your restorations, I think I'd have to kick someone's "arse" for touching a car after you got done!!!! That's just me!!!

WHY!!!!!! does a car done like Kube does them end up in someone hands that doesn't appreciate the care and detail that was done to the car. I'm no professional but I see several things they changed like hose clamps, engine, battery, oil filter etc. Same with an all original car that certain people get and have no appreciation for the years of care the car had.

Mike, I looked at the video of the 40 and the owner of record selling the car would be the guy driving it around the parking lot. Dave Henry would not even touch the car. He even has you the owner open and close the doors etc. Does the guy look like the Scott you are looing for? That parking lot location would be near the owners home as Dave travels to your location to shoot the video. If you provide details about the car, Dave Henry will narrate the video clip as he shoots it. Apparently the owner did not want to give any information about the car.(very strange) The location could easily be Woodland Hills near the college.
On a separate subject, could this be possibly tied to the 40 tudor California park service Mercury powered car that had the engine failure? The guy in the video sorta looks similar to that owner. I saw it and talked to the owner here in my area, over in Santa Paula .
Call Dave Henry, give him my name

Human nature. Just about everyone wants to make some change to an item to make it "theirs". I would expect that the kind of folks who can afford a "Kube Built Kar" have this personality quirk in spades.

Guys, I did not restore this car. The engine, a factory installed Merc, had failed.
Scott, the guy that purchased the car from me was (is) a heck of a nice guy.
